The Grounds of Alexandria is the perfect location to stock up on those instagram-shots from the famous fountain snap, to the vibrant flowers and its spectacular walk-ways (that often have certain themes such as the 'Nutcracker and the Four Realms,' and 'Mary Poppins Returns.' Be sure to check out, @thegrounds on Instagram beforehand to see what's up for grabs!

The Grounds have many options in terms of food, such as The Grounds Cafe, The Potting Shed, The Garden as well as the small stalls situated the main entrance. In accordance to The Grounds website, the Grounds Cafe - breakfast is served until 11:45 daily meanwhile lunch begins at 12pm until 3pm on weekdays and 3:45pm on weekends. However, you can still grab your coffee and cakes, as the cafe is open til 4pm on weekdays and 4:30pm on weekends! On the other hand, The Potting Shed have an all-day menu, which is available from 11:30am on weekdays and 11am on weekends until The Grounds close (this time varies). I tend to head to The Grounds of Alexandria, too early at times in order to avoid crowds... as it does get busy on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, therefore I'm always missing out on The Potting Shed...

If the queue is too long at both The Grounds Cafe and The Potting Shed, take the opportunity to sit around the garden and enjoy The Garden Bar, The Wood Fired Pizzas as well as The BQQ! (NOTE: Pizzas are only available on weekends) If you're looking for something small to go with your coffee, swing by the small stalls that have all types of pastries and donuts. Sick of your coffee? AND want to change it up? Grab yourself a lemonade, fresh juice or even a smoothie! However, all these options vary depending on the season. BUT why not check it out?

The Grounds of Alexandria is not only great for those who are keen on snapping a few pictures here and there, but its also incredibly family friendly with its animal farm - which is awesome for the kids! If you're lucky, you may spot Harry Trotter along with the chickens! Meanwhile at The Potting Shed, you'll be able to find Fluffy, the Macaw!
